ThinkGO terms of use
These terms apply when you use ThinkGO on iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. ThinkGO is made by an independent developer ("we", "us"); the developer's name is shown as the seller on ThinkGO's App Store page. Contact: info@thinkgo.app.
Your licence to use the app is Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). These terms add to it. Where they differ, Apple's agreement applies to the licence and these terms apply to everything specific to ThinkGO.
1. What ThinkGO is, and isn't
Intended purpose: self-help exercises based on CBT techniques for general emotional wellbeing.
- ThinkGO is a self-help tool. It is not therapy, not medical care, not a diagnosis and not a medical device, and it doesn't replace a doctor, psychologist or other professional.
- The check-ins (PHQ-4, GAD-7, PHQ-9) are your own record. The ranges shown are the questionnaires' standard ranges. They are not a diagnosis, and ThinkGO takes no decision based on them.
- Suggested exercises are suggestions, not a treatment plan.
- ThinkGO doesn't monitor what you write, doesn't contact anyone and gives no crisis support.
If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call your local emergency number now (for example 911 in the US or 112 in the EU). The Get help button in the app shows your country's number, reminds you to contact your doctor or a mental health professional, and links to a directory of helplines (findahelpline.com). Get help is free and works without a subscription.
If you have a mental health condition or are in treatment, talk to your doctor or therapist about whether self-help exercises suit you.
2. Who can use it
ThinkGO is for adults aged 18 and over.
3. Subscription and free trial
- ThinkGO needs a subscription to use the exercises: ThinkGO Pro, billed yearly (with a free trial for new subscribers) or monthly. Prices are shown in the app and in the App Store before you buy and are set in your local currency by Apple.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before the end of the period.
- Cancel anytime in your iPhone's Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or in the App Store. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- If you cancel during the free trial before it ends, you are not charged. ThinkGO reminds you 24 hours before the trial converts.
- Apple sells and bills the subscription. Refunds, including any right of withdrawal you have as a consumer, are handled by Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Without an active trial or subscription you keep your entries and can always use Get help, export your data, delete all data and restore purchases.
4. Your content
- What you write in ThinkGO is yours. It is stored on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. We can't see it and have no copy of it.
- Keep your own backups: Settings › Data › Export my data creates a backup file you can import later. If you delete the app without iCloud or a backup, your entries are gone and we can't restore them.
5. Acceptable use
Don't copy, resell or redistribute the app's exercises or texts, and don't try to break or reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law allows.
6. Content we used
The exercises are written by us, based on CBT techniques described in the scientific literature. The PHQ and GAD-7 questionnaires are reproduced as permitted by their authors; see https://thinkgo.app/acknowledgements.
7. Liability
We build ThinkGO carefully, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions you make based on the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
8. Privacy
How ThinkGO handles data is described in the privacy policy (https://thinkgo.app/privacy) and, for US residents, the consumer health data privacy policy (https://thinkgo.app/health-data).
9. Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we tell you in the app about changes that affect you. You can stop using ThinkGO at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the developer is established. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
